Fresno and Bierocks
Have you ever had a bierock? It is good...
If you're wondering - What is a bierock? Well, it is a baked bun filled with beef, onion and cabbage as the main ingredients.
In Fresno, one of the places you can get bierocks is at Lauck's Bakery.
They have 3 types - regular, mildly spicy and spicy with Jalapenos.
Reviews of Lauck's Bakery and another bakery in Fresno, La Boulangerie, have been posted. Do check them out along with pictures of bierocks at our Fresno Bakery page.

Dining in Fresno on Valentine's Day
It's Valentine's Day! If you're still wondering where to treat your Valentine for dinner, here are some really great restaurants in Fresno you should consider:
1) Senses World Cuisine - they serve delicious tapas. Opened late last year, they are located in the Tower district in Fresno on Van Ness Ave.
2) Campagnia - Food inspiration comes from the Campagnia region in Italy but you'll find plenty of choices here. I consider the menu here more Californian cuisine. Located in NE Fresno by Champlain/Perrin.
3) 609 Grille - small restaurant that serves big flavors. Again, you will find a variety of options here from steak to pasta. Located in the Tower district on Olive Ave.
4) Parma Restaurant - Amazing Italian restaurant in NW Fresno at Herndon/Marks. Probably the most authentic Italian restaurant you'll find in Fresno/Central Valley.
5) Max's Bistro and Bakery - French-Californian cuisine, located in NW Fresno at Bullard/West.
Here are 2 other Fresno restaurants you should consider that we have not reviewed:
The Ripe Tomato - French cuisine in Fig Garden Village
Slates - Located in NE Fresno at Alluvial/Fresno in the Palatine Building. I think you'll find a variety of options on the menu here.

Fresno Home and Garden show - Mark your calendar!
The Fresno Home and Garden show will be on March 4,5 and 6 (Friday-Sunday) this year. This is a great show for the whole family.
Last year, we had the pleasure of seeing Paul James of HGTV's Gardening by the Yard and Martin Yan of Yan Can Cook at the show. They were both highly informative and entertaining.
There are plenty of exhibits, seminars and even a pet center to keep the whole family entertained for the day. Of course, there's also the irresistible fairgrounds food.
Mark the dates on your calendar....
